Weekly Words of Wisdom: P is for PEACE – Feeling peaceful and at ease with life is a great way to be, but how in the world do you get there? And better yet, once you’re there how can you stay there?!
Well, we start by practicing, and we keep on practicing. We practice personal kindness and forgiveness – first for ourselves and then for others. We learn when to say when, take a healthy time-out and regroup.
We create space for ourselves to relax and renew on a regular basis. We use the breath to calm us; slowing and deepening the inhales, completing the exhales. These practices create a resilience within us to be more present and calm in the face of adversity.
The more we practice nurturing ourselves, the more peaceful we will feel.
