Weekly Words of Wisdom: F is for FORGIVE – Is there someone who comes to mind when you think about forgiveness? When we spend precious energy keeping a grudge alive, we are distracted from meaningful moments at hand.
I believe that everyone does the best they can with what they have to work on at any given time in their lives. And since we are all individuals and deal with situations in our own unique way, we are bound to make decisions that could potentially affect others in a hurtful way. I think that even the people who are intentionally hurtful are simply deeply hurt themselves.
My focus this week is on forgiveness toward someone who never said he was sorry before he left this world. He took his human mistakes with him when he went, and since his passing I’ve felt more love and compassion for him than I’d ever felt safe enough to do while he was still here.

We do the best we can with what we have to work with at any given time. May we all be more forgiving and tolerant toward ourselves and others.
